Breeding The Best To Be The Best

 

The stud first came into being in the early 1980’s when we first acquired Craignant Sunray. Sunny bred Foxheys Flying Witch and that was the start of the D’s. We then acquired section A mare called Rushton Flaming Star and that was the start of the A’s.

 

The C’s now that’s a story ….

One Spring whilst arguing over whose best the A’s or the D’s, we notice our section D stallion Delga In Time in the field with the Section A mare Rushton Flaming Star… and 11 months later came our section C stallion Foxheys Tornado. And since then we have acquired mares of different bloodlines to put to our stallion to try and breed the very best to be the best

FOXHEYS PEDIGREE BELTEX SHEEP

We have just started to breed pedigree Beltex sheep.  We started with one ewe Oakfield Elizabeth.  She had 2 lambs last year and that's the start of the Foxheys Flock. 

We have invested in 5 more ewes all from the Oakfield Flock and we are expecting over 10 lamb this year.
